1 Introduction

Welcome to Linkazam. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web dashboard.

2 Information We Collect

Depending on whether you use the free or Premium tier, we collect the following:

• Account information: Email address and hashed password when you register for an account.
• Link data: URLs, titles, groups, and favicon metadata for links you save.
• Subscription information: Your subscription status (free or Premium) and associated Stripe customer identifiers. We do not store full credit card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.
• Usage data: Basic app interaction logs for debugging and improving the service (e.g. errors, API response times).

Free-tier users who have not created an account store all link data locally on their device only. No data is transmitted to our servers unless you log in.

3 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly to operate and improve Linkazam:

• To authenticate your account and maintain your session securely.
• To store and sync your links and groups across devices (Premium users).
• To process and verify your subscription status via Stripe.
• To notify you of important changes to the service or your subscription.
• To investigate and fix technical issues or bugs.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the Linkazam service.

4 Data Storage & Security

Free users: All link and group data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to create an account and subscribe.

Premium users: Your data is stored on our secured EU-based backend servers. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using industry-standard cryptography before storage.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5 Third-Party Services

Linkazam integrates with the following third-party services:

• Stripe: Used to process subscription payments. When you subscribe, you interact with Stripe's secure checkout. Stripe's own Privacy Policy applies to data you provide during checkout.
• Google Favicon Service: We use google.com/s2/favicons to fetch website icons for your saved links. Your saved URLs may be sent to Google as part of this request. No other personal information is sent.
• Hetzner: Our backend servers are located in Germany, hosted at Hetzner.

We do not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media trackers.

6 Data Retention

We retain your account and link data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

If your Premium subscription lapses, your cloud data remains safely stored and accessible when you resubscribe. It is not deleted due to inactivity unless you explicitly request account deletion.

7 Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Export your link data at any time using the in-app Export feature.
• Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify you via the app or by email.

Continued use of Linkazam after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
